Friends,
Friday night we’re heading out to Trail Breaker Kennel for a show that feels pretty well timed for Fairbanks: the equinox is coming, the nights are getting darker, and mushing season is starting to stir.
Steve Brown and the Bailers will be playing an outdoor fundraising concert for the 2027 Tanana Valley Sled Dog Races — T-Dog. Proceeds from the evening will help support race operations for next season.
T-Dog was created to bring together mushers and other dog-powered athletes in a welcoming race environment, and this fundraiser is a chance to help get the 2027 races rolling while spending an evening together at the kennel.
There’ll be food from Alaska Taco Company, beer and wine, games, crafts, a photo booth, T-Dog merch, and of course live music.
Friday, September 18
Trail Breaker Kennel
2649 Trail Breaker Lane
Doors: 6:30 PM
Music: 7:30 PM
Tickets: $25 available online HERE
The event is all ages, though anyone under 21 needs to be with a parent or legal guardian. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged, and there’s about a quarter-mile walk from the parking area to the concert site.
And one important note from the organizers: leave your dogs at home for this one.
They expect the event to sell out, so if you’re planning to come, getting tickets ahead of time is a good idea.
Hope to see you out there.
Steve
