2021's end of the year event at the Malemute was incredible. Now we've been asked to come back and do it again! Come join us for the evening. We have Hannah Corral opening the night, and we're ready to play the night away! See you Sunday...
Pat Fitzgerald is a musical MacGyver. He plays anything with strings, blows a mean harmonica, and saws a sweet fiddle. And then he is the mastermind behind 10th Planet Studios. He is also the drummer extraordinaire who laid it down on my new song, Mountain. He has been one of my biggest mentors since our first collaboration, way before he engineered and produced our 2009 album, How Things Start.

I have been a fan of Aaron for a long time. It started when I would watch him playing guitar with the Whipsaws at the Marlin. He was playing the Wilco and Son Volt songs I loved along with original tunes that were just as great! But then came the night I was laying upstairs in Talkeetna’s Fairview Inn, and I heard his pedal steel sound wafting up through the stairwell. It was a magical listening experience, and I knew someday I had to get him on a song of mine. I am so pleased to say his performance on this song became its centerpiece.
It's been a long time since I played with Todd Denick in person, but we were reunited during the making of my newest tune, Mountain. He was gracious enough to record the bass tracks in a studio near his home in Neunkirchen am Brand, Germany, and send them to me in the early stages of building this song. He is an incredibly hard working and sympathetic musician. I am fortunate to call him a friend and collaborator. Buy his books!
