We had such a warm welcome from the crowd and staff at our St. Paddy’s Day show earlier this year, we couldn’t wait to come back—and this time, we’re bringing something (and someone) extra special:

Something new is brewing 🎶

I’m honored to be joining Emily Anderson and a surprise guest for a night of musical storytelling at Parlor in the Round — happening next Wednesday, April 16th at the Palace Theater in Pioneer Park.

This is a very different experience from what I usually do with the band… I’m feeling adventurous, a little anxious, but really excited.

The cause of this event is to fundraise for a property called Graceland, which is 90 acres of beautiful mature birch forest downhill from the corner of Isberg and Cripple Creek Rd. The lot was sold for development but is for sale again, and the Interior Alaska Land Trust wants to permanently conserve it and perhaps someday add more land to connect it to the Isberg Recreation Area trails. Their Facebook page has a post about another property they are close to conserving, so this event might be a celebration of that too!

This is our second annual Post-Thanksgiving Party. Why are we doing it? There are so many good reasons…

1. The Eagle has the perfect relaxed scene to unwind after a busy holiday.
2. We believe there are few things more fun than going out and dancing to some feel-good music written in Fairbanks
3. By Saturday, we will have been eating non-stop for two days and need an excuse to get out and move around.
4. Our family and friends visiting for the holiday want to experience a place like the Eagle in Ester to better understand what it is about this place that we all love.

So make sure you get there early. We are pleased to have Jonny J back with us to open the evening at 8 pm. Remember the Eagle is a cash bar, and the door is $10.

We are stuffed! Now we are surrounded by leftovers and a desire to get out of the house. Come join us at Goldie's Saturday 11/26 for an evening of good drinks, good music and a good time. 

   We are playing in the theater attached to Goldie's with a large stage and dance floor. Goldie's opens up at 8. The theater opens at 9. Jake Chavez and Morgan Hough take the stage at 9:30, and we take the stage at 10. Steve Brown and the Bailers will be performing until a hair past midnight. Big thanks to Rebecca Dunne for joining us on fiddle at the show! Shout out to SRS for running quality sound.
