I wrote the chorus in 2013, but the rest of the song wouldn't fully reveal itself until recently. Many styles and variations were attempted over the years, but none of them caught on. The pieces started coming together after a story of unfathomable betrayal was shared with me. That perspective carried me through to the song’s completion.

To bring everything to life, I reached out to Aaron Benolkin for the the high and lonesome sound of the pedal steel. Todd Denick and Pat Fitzgerald brought the powerful bass and drums. Big thanks to Real Hypha for his inspired production and mixing.
